Google launches Gmail Motion as a new way of communication

Last April fool's day, Google launches another technological innovation in terms of communication - this is the Gmail Motion. Many says that it is just a humor but now it turns into reality and it will really happen. Google says that mouse and keyboard are the outdated technology that's why they made something different and this is the application of kinetic or the motion.

Below images are some of the demonstrated actions of this Gmail Motion. One of the main objective of Google that I really impressed is to increased the physical activity. They have a point here because nowadays there is a significant increased of people who are being diagnose with heart problem. It's time to move and increase our physical activity which will improved our health.

Gmail Motion uses built in camera of your PC to translate your movement into meaningful characters and command. Only make sure to clear the area around you and take a break every 30 to 40 minutes just like the way you are typing using keyboard.

Fuuvi Pick, the digital camera made for youngsters

There is another cutest gadget made. This is the cutest digital camera called the Fuuvi Pick. This is being marketed as "digital toy camera" made especially for youngsters.

Fuuvi Pick is a 1.3 megapixel digital camera and can shoot at 720 x 480 with a 3 cm height. Some of the coolest feature of this has a built in USB drive, just like a flash drive. It has a capacity of 16GB on a micro SD card and can be use for your PC for data storage. This gadget are available in different colors as shown on above images. This is just cheap as $59.

I think one of my cutest nephew can't wait to avail this coolest gadget. Youngsters are very thankful nowadays due to latest technology.

This Week in Gadget Book: Tupperware Turret, watch out what's inside the cake container

This is another series of weekly featured post f rom Official Gadget Book. My today's post  is something that I can say amazingly cool because it is just an improvised light airgun inside the cake container. Take a look on the video below released via Make.



This mini airgun uses a small microcontroller and an IR sensor to accept commands and it can twirl around and tilt up and down to take the attackers from all sides. It has a remote control that controls the movement of this mini airgun. By pressing the green button it fires and the red button stops the gun.

Oh, this is just another weapon that you can build for self protection against the enemies nowadays. This is very possible. The only problem here is the steps that will take to produce this stuff. Now, watch out my enemies! your time is near!

Google +1 button on search engine result page, powerful or not?

Google implemented another button which is called the +1 button which appears on the side right after the link on each search engine result. See the image below for illustration.

You have the option to undo the +1 button after pressing it

This Google +1 button would help the users or readers which among the webpage are relevant on the search engine result page based on the +1's number of recommendation. This is another feature of telling people or friends that you recommend a certain webpage discovered after doing your search. Without sending an email, you can tell your friends "hey! this is something cool and useful" by just pressing the +1 button feature. The video below source released officially by Google:




This new feature is now running Google.com english.You may also opt to join the Google Experimental Labs.

Just like Facebook "like" button" the number of people "likes a particular webpage" only shows that it is the best recommendation or something cool for the users.

New Flex Touchscreen Interface developed by researchers

There is a new flex touchscreen interface now developed by some researchers at Osaka University. Take a look on the video below from Digital Info.



The principle of this new flexible touchscreen interface is just simple. It just treat the screen as elastic material, that is when you touch the screen and the content just squeeze as it moves at the edges of the screen in which you could still see other area in focus, rather than browsing it back just like the existing touchscreen nowadays. The video above demonstrated on Google Maps on large touchscreen. The researchers says it would just be applicable to phones and other touchscreen technology. It only means that it will be implemented soon and it is obviously possible.

Samsung had launched their new series 9 laptop with 13.3" last week. Unfortunately, they did not include this 11.6 " which says that it has a better specs than MacBook Air.

This Week in Gadget Book - iPad 2 Glass vs. Original iPad

Do you have your original iPad and the new model iPad 2? Well, it's time for you to evaluate and the test below that I will show is the proof that iPad 2 glass which is thinner is stronger than the original iPad. The video below was performed by iFixyouri.com.



The test performed by iFixyouri.com company. There are two wooden blocks prepared with different elevation. The first one is "one inch elevated" and the other one is " two inches  elevated. The flexibility will be tested by propping the glass on those elevated wooden blocks mentioned and by pressing it down with a wooden plank.

The video shown that iPad 2 glass survived the test on both elevation while the original iPad gave up on this first test.

iPad 2 glass was tried to break using the hand but the one who performed on the video seems like he exerted more effort just to break the glass.

From the test performed above, it only shows that Apple considered not only the feature of the applications of their devices but also its durability.

iMobot that can rolls, crawls and creeps

iMobot that can crawl, stand up and rotate as a camera platform

Graham Ryland and Professor Harry Cheng developed iMobot while Ryland was studying for his master's degree in mechanical engineering and conducting research in Cheng's Integration Engineering Laboratory at UC Davis.

iMobot can be used for research and education tool according to the genius creators. It can also be used for industrial applications for prototyping complex robotics. Besides, this little creepy technology may eventually form the basis of robots for search and rescue operations. It has four controllable degree of freedom, two rotating joints, the individual module can crawl, or stand up and act as an autonomous camera platform.
